When it rains, there's no better suite to stay cozy and warm in than Suite 204. The original historic suite, 204 is perfect for families and friend getaways. Why? Because it's so roomy. With over 600 square feet of luxury amenities and fun details, you'll never get cabin fever. Asheville-based husband and wife musicians Millie Palmer and Will Beasley of Millie Palmer Jazz Trio holed up in Suite 204 with games. Lots of them.
They played Uno, Go Fish, and checkers while jumping between the two queen beds. Suite 204 is one of two double queen bed suites in the Windsor, ideal for sharing a room with the people you love to be around. The locally sourced mattresses and deluxe bedding as well as adjustable blinds and custom drapery ensure a quiet hideaway. Hide and Seek? Not a problem when you have a spacious walk-in closet and hallway nooks.
In the open living and dining space, Millie and Will set up Candy Land, Sorry, and Apples to Apples on the soft, expansive rug and grabbed throw pillows from the couch. The coffee table converted from a game space to a snack bar and lightweight enough to be easily scooted out of the way for some serious floor lounging. Adjustable lighting in the kitchen and handpicked lamps provided a warm, cozy glow so they could see who was the culprit in Clue.
"Let's cancel all our plans, call in to work, and stay here the rest of the day," Millie said.
We agreed it was a great idea.
